Diamond Series Stencil Giveaway!

My stencil company, Artistcellar has done it again! This new series of four stencils is called the “Diamond Series” and you can find them on the Artistcellar site. You can also win a set by visiting all the blogs listed below and leaving one comment per blog for eight chances to win. These are the best quality stencils on the market according to me, and since I do not have a delicate touch that matters! I used this new series to make papers on top of road maps. The primary medium I used was Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist and Radiant Rain Daubers by ColourArte. I did add dye inks...

One Stencil on the Gelli 2

One Stencil on the Gelli 2

Yesterday I printed all day with the Stones Divided Stencil which comes in 6″ and 12″ squares. I bought mine at Blue Twig Studio, where I will be teaching in September. I used the larger one on my large Gelli Plate. Working with one stencil is freeing, because I am only making decisions about color and technique. I can print fast and furious, which believe me I did. My studio was draped in paper prints. I used deli paper and Arches Text Wove. Here are some of the samples out of the fifty or so prints I made. I am making paper packs to sell at vendors at Art Unraveled next week. I...

Map Art Stencils, MY TURN!

Welcome to the last day of the Map Art Stencil Giveaway! For the blogs to visit and more chances to win a set, go HERE. I have a new set of stencils with Artistcellar, called Map Art Series, to go with my new book, Map Art Lab! They are new takes on traditional map graphics, with the added bonus of having interchangeable centers for the compass roses!   I love making maps. I teach mapmaking in many mediums, most recently in collaged fabric and papers with stitching, in New Zealand and Australia. Some of the students used these stencils on the maps they made in this class. I went a...

Map Art Stencils hop and Giveaway!

Today is the first day of 6 chances to win my new Map Art Stencils! I have been using them in classes for the last two months in Australia and New Zealand, and the students did wonders! The map above includes many of the patterns, and I will credit the brilliant student as soon as I find my roster! The centers of the two compass roses are interchangeable, my husband Steve’s idea, and I LOVE how they turned out. The official name of the stencils is:  Artistcellar Signature Series Map Art by Jill K Berry. The individual stencil names, in case you were wondering are: 082 Angel Cartouche...

Quasi-Crystal Stencil Giveaway!

Artistcellar has yet another new set of stencils and wants to give a set away! They are called “Quasicrystal.” I used Quasi and Infra on my page, which was partially collaged by Connie, my friend who made me this journal. You can see the papers she put in on the left, and the handsome geeky dude on the right. He was there, staking his space. I made him a love interest. She is a tiny bit scary. Am not sure why. Too much eyeliner. The Infra stencil adds jazz to her skirt. He is a fairly benign chap, which is why their relationship does not last. Sad. I used the Quasi stencil here...
