Words for the Season
I was asked to donate an ornament to Two Hands Paperie, a spectacular paper, book, and art shop in Boulder owned by my friend Mia Semingson, that will be sold as a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels. Because I love Christmas, and all things holiday related at this time of year, I decided to ponder the season and find words to describe all celebrating going on around me. I have friends that celebrate Hanukkah, Kwanza, Solstice, and Diwali, all these can be described with similar words of observance and intention. Starting tomorrow, you can buy art and save a friend from the challenges of Breast Cancer. Cloth, Paper, Scissors Magazine’s editor, Jennifer Mason, asked a bunch of us to do a piece of art that will be sold to benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Since I have dear friends and family members that have dealt with this disease, I am highly motivated to help.
