Book Making Workshops

Books are containers for photos, ideas, scraps of previous writing and art, poetry, and memories of a journey or loved one. They are treasurers and can be one of the most gratifying forms of art. Plus, they are lots of fun to make, especially when you don't have to worry about glue! These are some of my favorites, and I'll bet they will be some of yours, too.

Ten Books in Two Days
In this high-paced workshop we will create ten non-adhesive books in a weekend. Some are structures by designers famous in the field, and others I have learned and modified. We will make flip books, pocket books, origami books, tunnel books, maze books, small journals and even a wearable book. This is a good introduction to lots of book forms, and includes some uncommon structures.

Ten More Books in Two More Days: the Sequel
More books by designers, and half designed by me. A bit more challenging, but still fine for beginners.
