Make a Scene at Raevn’s Nest
Posted on October 8, 2009 - Filed Under 2009 Workshops
I am teaching this class in a couple of weeks at Raevn’s Nest Art Retreat, it is called “Make a Scene”. All the supplies are provided, including the watch tins and all the stuff to make the Alice In Wonderland scene, plus a bunch of other treasures, including little birds and charms. They are like tiny tunnel books, and you can add your own photos or found objects too. Last year I made these for Christmas presents, made a huge hit!

Alice in Wonderland and My Mom and her favorite things

I am bringing these little birds....

I like the housewife theme, will bring some of this stuff too
One of the other classes I am doing there is 5 Books in a Day, Chapter Two. We are actually going to make the following SIX books.

Origami pocket book

Interactive book inspired by Kim!

Paper Piano Hinge Book that can read upside down

Crown Spine book with a watercolor exercise

Small pop-up book with a Robert Frost Poem

You get all the illustrations and text for this book

And a hidden tunnel book, super fun to make
Join me! I love teaching and love books. You get all the instructions for each book and ideas for content, plus a list of resources. Last year we had folks actually singing in class, Sweet Pea and gang, it was wonderful fun. Cedarburg is so charming and the leaves are bound to be glorious.
This is my last venue of the season, and a great one to finish up with. Chocolate, ice cream, turkey sandwiches with blackberry jam, yummy extras, come on down!
