Valley Ridge, Mapping Your Life
Posted on April 8, 2009 - Filed Under 2009 Workshops
At the end of March I went to Valley Ridge Art Studio to teach for the very first time. It was magical, magnificent, marvelous! Just as I had heard from everyone who has been there. Kathy, who runs the place, has a sense of nuance and a connection with beauty that I admire. She takes time and care to make sure everything, and I mean that in the most elaborate sense, is right. And it was.
We had exciting weather. There were fine meals and good conversations. Mostly there was a group of gorgeous, wonderful women who leapt right in. I love this class, it is so personal, and so revealing of the map-maker. No two maps look just alike. We made maps of the head, of the body, memories, dreams, trips taken, timelines, and journeys. All of them were wonderful, and I wish I could show each one. It is hard to get around to photograph each persons collection, we are all so busy!
Get thee to Valley Ridge! And make a map of your journey.
