We had a remarkable class this weekend at Denver University. I kept all 20 of these incredibly fun and joyous people very busy. We did lots of monoprinting, sumi, layers with reductive and additive techniques and even colored with crayons.

This is a process of painting on paper that I have used for a while now. These papers are all done by the lovely students. Aren’t they yummy?

What I love about it is the many layers of color and textures, and the paper stays soft, so you can use it just as you could before you painted on it at all. For books, cards, collage, origami, just about anything. And, as you see here, they are all unique.

This was such a great group, I was honored to have all of you and hope to see you again in the fall. It was such a good time, being with all of you.

Hi Jennifer, it was an amazing group, and so much fun. The black and white are from the class I am doing in Hampton at Art & Soul called Sumptuous Sumi and Other Stories. This was a two day class, so we got to do a lot. One of the best crowds of people I have ever been in, your company excepted of course!
