Book of Intention
Posted on March 3, 2009 - Filed Under 2009 Workshops
This last weekend I taught a class called the “Book of Intention”. We spent some time identifying our intentions for ourselvesĀ and then making symbols for each of those intentions. The symbols are based on symbols from all over the world, or right out of our heads. Then we used watercolor crayons and water based pencils to make a page of designs. Crayons are great for getting loose, it is just hard to take yourself seriously when you are coloring! After the page is done we tear it up!
Oh, and then we stitch the pages into a book. Then you reinterpret the pages into a story or poem that holds your intentions. Voila! Your own book of intentions.
This was a wonderful group and I wish I had all the books in here, but we do have a good sampling. What a weekend! Such a wonderful group in a gorgeous, spirit-filled valley. I drove home feeling so blessed and fortunate to be able to do this, and be in the company of such interesting strong women. It is so often a mystery, how this artistic journey works, its ups and downs and arounds, and this is the best part of it. The very best.

THIS is the class I want to take….Jill, the pictures of the mountains…. I can’t stand it… I’m tearing up just looking at them imagining you driving up to the ‘Y” and having that as your backdrop. It’s almost impossible for me to imagine as I sit here in the Midwest.
The books look absolutely amazing…appears that you had a load of talent in the class and really brought out the best in them. I’m so glad you had a great weekend.
The books turned out beautifully. Very inspiring!
