Colors Changing Hue
Posted on February 12, 2009 - Filed Under Uncategorized
Today was a play date with my friend Rosalba, and It was all about colors. We started painting papers, and took a break for a toe job. Pedicures. The cure for everything that Miso soup doesn’t cover. Picking out colors for our dishy toes is always hilarious. Who are the lucky people who get to name these hues? Rosabla picked a bright red called “I Don’t Do Dishes”. Mine was I “Red” the Script. (Mine is best, and Rosalba has toe envy). Currently my mother is wearing “Skinny dipping in Lake Michigan”, which actually should be blue instead of pale pink.
Here are my fine toes, and the page of symbols that Rosalba made up. She is going to embellish and layer, and I hope to have her final soon. She has tolerated more of my classes than just about anyone, and she does wonderful things. I am trying to get her to turn this one into a book, and then re-interpret each page to find the story.
That is a process I use a lot, including in a workshop at the YMCA of the Rockies, the Book of Intention Class.
The class is Feb 28-March 1, in the prettiest place on earth.
