Today is Thanksgiving. My friend DeeDee sent me this link and after a cynical yesterday, it was just the thing to renew my faith in humanity. This video is a testament to the street musicians of the world, and especially to people who create art and music for the great beauty and joy of sharing it! Yesterday I experienced a few people who are not so much concerned with humanity as they are with their own bounty, and it was discouraging and sad for me, so this was perfect timing.

I have two creative friends named DeeDee, for that I am thankful. My husband is a musician and has a wonderful band, and I am thankful also for that. My daughter broke her arm on Saturday, and we had wonderful care at the hospital, and for that I am thankful.

Yesterday I had to help Sydney wash her hair. She came downstairs after her bath in her new red dress. I asked her how she felt (the arm is in a sling and hurts) and she gave me this big wide grin and said “a clean girl in a new red dress is a good thing to be.” For that, especially, I am thankful.
