RAEvN’s Nest Art Retreat

Posted on October 22, 2008 - Filed Under Uncategorized

Sunday evening I returned from five days in Cedarburg, Wisconsin at the RAEvN’s Nest Art Retreat. I was there teaching with Judy Wise, shown above, Laurie Mika,  Michael deMeng, Bernie Berlin and our fearless hostess, Kim Rae Nugent. Kim set up the retreat in her neighboring town to celebrate art, the colors of the fall, and the release of her new book, Interactive Art Workshop, (which I just happen to be in). What a time we had! I am new to this, and am just meeting all these famous people, who I have to say are sweet as punch. Judy kept me up all hours, but I do think we solved many of the world’s problems. My classes were great fun, the town was gorgeous and we had time to chat with each other and tell stories. Lots of stories. I am going to be posting the class photos soon, to celebrate and acknowledge the bravado and talent of all who showed up. In the meantime I have to say THANK YOU to all the students in my classes, for being there, for making wonderful things, for singing lovely songs when Kim walked in the room and for all your glorious trades, which I just now got to look at. Since I got home I have done seven loads of laundry which my little darlings saved just for me! I got to wade through the mail, and unpack! I have been so busy with these fun things I did not have time to blog, but I will make it up to you, I promise.

Jill staged the picture with us all throwing leaves up in the air. But just after a big gust of wind came through causing more leaves to rain down on us. I am thankful for life’s simple pleasures. Thank you for sharing on your blog.
