On Saturday I will head out for a week in California, mostly to attend the CHA convention.
While there, I have a couple of events where I will be sighted, so please stop and say hello if you are also going.
Monday, January 30 @ 11:00am at the R&M West Coast booth: book signing
Monday, January 30 @ 4:00pm at the F+W booth: book signing
Tuesday, January 31 @ 10:00am demo at the Creative Imaginations for Twinkling H2Os
On February 4th, the following Saturday, I will be spending the day journaling with Orly Avineri. There are a couple of spaces left if you would like to join us in Redondo Beach. I can just imagine this group, it will be wonderfully creative and I know how filled up I will be when I leave. Get more information about this day here.
In the meantime, I am working on scenes from the sky. I am stricken with the beauty of the earth from soaring above it. Having traveled so often between Denver and Wisconsin, I have had the supreme pleasure of flying fairly often over Kansas. Here is what I see.
What I am working on now is celebrating this kind of view. I am painting, a lot. Here is a tiny detail of a bird’s eye view of my backyard.
You will see this technique in the May issue of Cloth, Paper, Scissors! Yay! I am so excited to be invited to do this, I have wanted to do something for that magazine for a very long time.
