Two Portraits of Brava

While in Italy in September, I was thinking about mythology, the gods and goddesses who were fodder for fanciful and elaborate stories.

There was a goddess missing, and she needed to be invented. Her name is Brava.

Brava is brave under fire. She is sturdy, and feminine. It is not that she is never scared, she often is, but she does not allow fear to dictate her life.

Here are two portraits of Brava.

I am going to be working with her for a while, honing in on her stories. Any ideas?

Her Motto:

Courage Takes Practice.

Begin Now.

  1. I very much identify with the first painting. Can’t wait to hear her story unfold.
